Never blogged before, don't really see the point of 'personal' ones, but this definitely a fine, interesting purpose!

'Lerrnin dees loines . . .' makes me want to visit Ireland again. I was in Dublin once, in 1968 to see a soccer match. WHAT a day. The people, the ambience, the 'difference', and only 60 miles away from England/Wales! Oh, and the Porter!!
I grew up in Manchester, England., and, actually, my great, great Gran was Irish. My mam told me they lived on a hill overlooking Dublin. Mam and Dad went back there in the 70s and the land had been split up (various houses on it etc). I asked her who bought it, she said she thinks they just . . . left it. (I NEED AN REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY IMMEDIATELY!!)
